One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Staunton, VA Advertising, attributed to A.P. Donaghho, Parkersburg, WV, circa 1880, ovoid jar with squared rim, featuring the stenciled cobalt advertising, "LIPSCOMB & / SOMERVILLE, / STAUNTON Va", above the stenciled gallonage "1 1/2". Heavy chipping to rim. An in-the-firing stone ping to shoulder. A chip to underside at edge.
