Two Bell Family Stoneware Jars, Strasburg, VA origin, circa 1870-1895, a one-gallon cylindrical jar with cobalt swag decoration, stamped "S. BELL & SON / STRASBURG" ; paired with a one-gallon ovoid jar, stamped "SOLOMON BELL / STRASBURG / Va.". S. Bell & Son jar with a 3/4" rim chip, minor rim nicks, a 2 3/4" hairline from rim, and a 2 1/2" hairline from rim. Solomon Bell jar in excellent condition with residue on underside.
