Four-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG, PA," circa 1865, ovoid jar with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a large tulip plant bearing three large blossoms. Some fry to cobalt. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark. A few very minor chips and some wear to rim.
