Three-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "CONNOLLY & PALMER / NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ," circa 1880, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-squared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a crested bird perched on a leaf with dotted accents. Reverse impressed with Connolly & Palmer maker's mark above a three-gallon capacity mark. Some fry to cobalt and a minor glazed-over chip to one handle. Otherwise excellent condition.
