Unusual Five-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Bird and Floral Decoration, attributed to the Fulper Pottery, Flemington, NJ, fourth quarter 19th century, cylindrical jug with semi-squared spout, decorated with a crested bird perched on a leafy stem, the bird feeding from a flowering plant to its right. An unusual design from this desirable pottery, decorating an impressive large-sized jug. 2 1/2" salt drip to reverse. Some shallow chipping to spout on reverse and side.
