Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Large Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "WM. E. WARNER / WEST-TROY," New York State origin, circa 1850, cylindrical jug with semi-squared spout, decorated with a folky slip-trailed design of a bird with spotted ring neck and heavily-dashed body, seated on a leafy branch. Large chip to spout. Otherwise as-made condition with some fry to cobalt and a minor iron ping at base on side of jug.
