Scarce One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Dove Decoration, Stamped "FRANK B. NORTON / WORCESTER, MASS," circa 1875, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder, flared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a dove seated on a branch with leaf above. Unusual small size. Professional restoration to rim, shoulder, handles, and reverse of jar. Cobalt untouched.
