Two Pieces of Virginia Stoneware, circa 1875, a one-gallon ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and squared rim, stamped "SOLOMON BELL / STRASBURG / Va," paired with a smaller, unmarked jar of ovoid form with flattened rim. Bell jar in excellent condition with some tiny nicks to bottom edge of rim and a tiny rim nick. Unmarked jar with several small rim chips and a Y-shaped hairline on underside, extending 3 1/2" up base of jar.
