Four-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Philadelphia, PA origin, circa 1860, ovoid jar with thick, rounded foot, heavily-tooled shoulder, and ribbed lug handles, decorated on the front and back with large cobalt swags and fan-shaped flowers. Several shallow rim chips, the largest on the facade of rim on reverse, measuring 1 1/4" long.
