One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "NEW YORK STONEWARE CO.," circa 1875, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a somewhat unusual slip-trailed bird design with heavy shading around the face, breast, and back. 2 1/2" crack from rim on reverse. Two small stone pings. Very minor rim nick.
