Four-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Baltimore, MD, circa 1840, ovoid jar with squared rim and applied lug handles, decorated with two vertical cobalt tulips extending up the front and back. Excellent color. A few contact marks to surface. Small rim chips. Minor chipping to base. Faint hairlines on underside, a few of which continue a short distance onto base.
