Three-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Crock, Stamped "E. & L.P. NORTON / BENNINGTON, VT.," circa 1875, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-squared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a large cobalt leaf accented with spots. Excellent color. Two rim chips. Cracks extending from rim above one handle. Two vertical hairlines to surface. Some additional tight lines on reverse.
