Four-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Crock, Stamped "N CLARK JR. / ATHENS NY," circa 1850, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with an elaborate brushed cobalt floral design culminating in a chrysanthemum-like blossom. Inverted 4 1/2" Y-shaped surface line on front, not visible on interior. Reglued 1 1/2" chip to rim on reverse.
