Unusual New York Stoneware Advertising Jar with Cobalt Bird Decoration, NY State origin, circa 1860, two-gallon cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder, squared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a bird perched on a flower. Small chip to one handle. Some small flakes to surface on reverse. Minor 1" surface line at base on front.
