Eight-Gallon Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "JAS. HAMILTON & CO. / GREENSBORO, PA," circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, featuring stenciled floral and leaf designs around the maker's stenciling. Large stenciled "8" at base. Large, wide cracks to right side, one of which extends onto underside. Small chip to one handle. Heavy staining. Two contact marks to front.
