Scarce Half-Gallon Stoneware Canning Jar with Cobalt Name, Western PA origin, circa 1875, tapered wax sealer with tooled shoulder and "wax sealer" rim, decorated with cobalt stripes, the inscription "1/2", and the name "H. Haz???". Recessed contact mark near base. Contact mark to shoulder. Two hairlines on underside, continuing onto base. Short hairlines from rim. A few minor chips to interior of rim. H 8".
