One-Gallon Cumberland, MD Advertising Stoneware Cream Jar, Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1875, ovoid jar with semi-rounded rim, decorated with the stenciled merchant advertising "C.F. HETZEL / & CO. / CUMBERLAND, / MD." Brushed cobalt stripes at shoulder and base. Small chip to underside of rim on reverse. 3" Y-shaped hairline below rim on left side of front. Group of spidering hairlines on right side of jar. H 8".
