Four-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Cooler, Stamped "HAXSTUN OTTMAN & CO. / FORT EDWARD, N.Y.," circa 1870, cobalt-banded, barrel-form cooler with circular bunghole, decorated with a stylized slip-trailed foliate design. Bunghole decorated with cobalt spots and stripes. Chips to interior of rim. Some fry to cobalt. 14 1/2" glue section on reverse at base / underside. H 14".
