Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Butter Crock with Lid, attributed to the Remmey Pottery, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1860, with tooled shoulder and applied lug handles, cobalt-decorated on the front and back with an unusual sweeping floral design. The lid, which is likely original to the crock, is decorated with leaves or flower heads around the border. Crock in near mint condition with a base chip. Lid with two chips to knob and hairlines throughout surface. H 7" ; Diameter 10".
