Glazed Redware Dog Bank, attributed to George Wagner, Carbon Co., PA, circa 1860, molded seated dog with applied coleslaw fur, incised details to face and paw, and unusual fur on leg. Surface decorated with daubs of manganese and covered in a clear lead glaze. 1 1/2" x 1 1/8" hole on underside, where a slot once was. Wear to coleslaw and light wear to muzzle. Colored base chips. H 7".
