We are all looking forward to our Fall 2010 auction!Rare Miniature Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Spittoon, probably PA origin, circa 1850, with opening at center, carved opening on side, and rounded top edge, decorated on the top surface with heavy cobalt brushwork. Additional daubs of cobalt brushed around circumference. Tiny post-firing base chip and tiny glazed-over base chip. Two pieces from rim, measuring a total of 1 1/4", are broken and reglued. H 1 1/2" ; Diameter 3 1/4".
