We are all looking forward to our Fall 2010 auction!Rare Cobalt-Decorated Miniature Stoneware Jug, Northeastern U.S., possibly New England, late 18th or 19th century, narrow jug with ovoid body, tall spout, and applied strap handle, decorated with a cobalt floral design. Incised "A" on side. The form of this jug suggests it was made early in American stoneware mass production. Miniatures from this period are quite rare. In-the-firing lines throughout. Small base chip. H 2 1/8".
