Salt-Glazed Stoneware "WHITEROOT" Bottle, Northeastern U.S., circa 1870, with cylindrical body, tapered neck, and thick spout, impressed with the cobalt-highlighted advertising "DR. SMITH & SNOW / WHITEROOT / PAT. JULY. 17. '66." Small chip at base on spout with 1/2" line extending from it. Additional minor worn spot base of spout. 5/8" flake to edge on underside. H 9 3/4".
