Three-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Mid-Atlantic origin, circa 1850, ovoid jar with semi-squared rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed cobalt sweeping tulip design. Excellent color. Large loss to one handle. Chips to opposite handle. 1 5/8" rim chip and a few other minor rim chips. Crazing to surface. Crack in underside, extending 7" up base of jar where it spiders. Minor base chip. H 14 3/4".
