Three-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Clover Decoration, Stamped "P. HERRMANN," Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1875, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and applied lug handles, cobalt-decorated on the front and back with a large double-stemmed clover plant. Impressed with Peter Herrmann maker's mark to left of one handle. 1 1/4" chipped section to handle. Chip to opposite handle. Tiny rim nick, small glazed-over rim chip, and another rim chip, which occurred in the making. H 13 3/4".
