Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Spittoon, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1875, cylindrical form with tooled foot and carved oval opening at shoulder, cobalt-decorated with a series of brushed opposing swags around its midsection. Excellent color. Several cracks on underside extending onto sides of spittoon. H 4" ; Diameter 9 1/4".
