Rare Pfaltzgraff Stoneware Advertising Jug, York, PA origin, circa 1880, straight-sided jug with rounded shoulder, squared spout, and applied strap handle, stenciled in cobalt with the number 2 and the advertising "E.S.B. / JEFFER[SON] / YORK CO / PA." A highly unusual example of advertising stoneware from one of the most famous PA stoneware potteries. A few small spout chips. Faint lines in underside. H 14 1/4".
