Very Rare Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stamped "T. HEMPSTEAD / GREENPORT LI," circa 1870, squat-shaped jar with tooled shoulder, flaring rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed cobalt drooping flower design. Significant restoration around base and reverse, including rim on reverse. H 10 1/2".
