Two-Gallon Wheeling, WV Stoneware Advertising Crock, Western PA origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and rounded rim, stenciled "H.F. BEHREN. / GROCER, / 2217 & 2219 / MARKET STREET / WHEELING. W. VA." Two stars and a tulip are incorporated into the stenciling. Freehand stripes below rim and base, along with a stenciled 2 with flourishes. Mint condition. H 11 7/8".
