Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stamped "C.E. PHARIS & CO. / GEDDES. N.Y.," circa 1864-1867, straight-sided jar with rounded shoulder and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed and slip-trailed cobalt floral design accented with cobalt dots. Slip-trailed "2" to left of floral design. Heavy chipping to one handle. Fry to cobalt. 3/4" chip on exterior of rim. Smaller chips on interior of rim. H 10 3/4".
