One-Gallon Stoneware Advertising Jug, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1875, straight-sided jug with tooled spout and applied handle, impressed with the cobalt-highlighted advertising "F B CAREY / 716 PENNA AVE / BALTIMORE MD." Inverted T-shaped crack at base on side of jug, extending 3" vertically and 5" horizontally. Very thin spidering lines to surface. Two spout chips. H 11 3/4".
