Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Crock, Stamped "GEDDES. N.Y.," circa 1870, straight-sided crock with tooled shoulder and applied lug handles, decorated with a stylized slip-trailed floral design accented with dotted trails. 1/2" flaked spot on front shoulder area. Lines in underside, extending up reverse of crock. A few short separations in rim, which are in the surface only, and occurred during the firing. Four flaked spots to interior. H 9 1/4".
