Five-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Brushed Cobalt Grapes Decoration, Stamped "A.K. BALLARD / BURLINGTON, VT.," circa 1870, large-sized jug with squared rim and applied handle, decorated with a large cluster of brushed cobalt grapes with wavy vine. Thin cracks on reverse. A few in-the-firing separation lines at base. Horizontal crack in handle. Short line in spout. H 18".
