Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug, Stenciled "HAMILTON & JONES / MANUFACTURERS / GREENSBORO / PA," circa 1875, decorated with various stenciled flourishes, a stenciled rose at the center, and freehand stripes. As-made condition with a glazed-over base chip with short, in-the-making separation line extending throughout, a stone ping on shoulder, and some roughness to spout. H 14 1/2".
