Unusual One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Tulip Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG, PA," circa 1865, ovoid jug decorated with an unusual brushed cobalt design of a Pennsylvania German tulip. Excellent color. Faint lines at base. Some bubbling to decoration. H 11".
