Albany-Slip-Glazed Stoneware Jar with Coggled Decoration, Stamped "PAUL : CUSHMANS," Albany, NY origin, circa 1810, wide-bodied, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and applied lug handles, decorated with a coggled geometric design around the rim and shoulder, further impressed with the coggled maker's mark of Paul Cushman around the midsection. An in-the-firing contact mark to rim. Small rim chips. A short surface line or scratch to top of rim. Base chips. A very shallow 7/8" flake to underside of jar at edge. Rim is out of round. H 7 1/4" ; Diam. (at rim) 7 3/4". .
