Three Stoneware Vessels, American and European, 19th and 20th centuries, a one-gallon ovoid jar with flared rim and applied lug handles, brush-decorated with an "x" on both sides, Hudson River Valley, NY, early 19th century; an ovoid jug with heavily-tooled spout and applied ribbed handle, with brushed cobalt-oxide including swag-and-tassel decoration on front, highlight to spout and handle terminals, and "2" beneath handle, European, 19th century; and a ring flask stamped "NORTH STATE POTTERY CO. / HAND MADE / SANFORD, N.C." Provenance: Warren F. Hartmann Collection. All with minor damage including firing imperfections. Hudson River jar with base chips. H (of tallest) 11 1/4".
