Two-Gallon Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jug, Stamped "JFS", James Franklin Seagle, Vale, NC, third quarter 19th century, ovoid jug with tooled spout, the front featuring the impressed initials, "JFS", above a two-gallon capacity mark. Restored spout. Thin 2" line below spout at left of jug. Otherwise excellent condition. H 13 1/2".
