Rare Molded Yellowware Spittoon, Stamped "AMERICAN POTTERY CO. / JERSEY CITY, N.J.," circa 1840, circular, footed form with circular opening in recessed, fluted top and circular opening at shoulder, decorated around the body with relief stylized geometric motifs. Underside impressed with American Pottery Company maker's mark. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. Diam. 7 1/4" ; H 3 1/8".
