Fine Stoneware Jug with Impressed Floral Decoration, attributed to Jonathan Fenton, Boston, MA, late 18th century, highly-ovoid jug with tooled shoulder and tall spout with semi-rounded mouth, decorated on the front with an impressed and cobalt-highlighted design of a daisy. A 7/8" in-the-firing spout chip. A 1/2" drilled lamp wire hole at base. A 2" vertical line ascending from base on side of jug. A few typical in-the-firing flaws to surface, including some in-the-firing clay residue to neck of jug and base. H 15 3/4".
