Unusual Small-Sized Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Inscribed "RUSSEL," OH origin, mid 19th century, ovoid jar with semi-rounded rim, featuring the large brushed name, "RUSSEL," and a stylized cross motif. A diagonal bar-shaped stamp appears above the name. Desirable size. A 2" in-the-making, glazed-over dent at the base causes the jar to lean to one side. A 1 1/2" in-the-firing line appears in the underside. H 5 1/2".
