One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Albany, NY area, early 19th century, ovoid jar with heavily-tooled shoulder, footed base, and applied lug handles, decorated with heavy cobalt to the upper body on the front and reverse. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Provenance: Warren F. Hartmann Collection. A 1 1/4" rim chip above one handle. An in-the-firing flake to top of rim. Chipping around base. H 9".
