Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, Stenciled "J.M. HARDEN / Palatine. WVa," circa 1875, both of cylindrical form with tooled shoulders and semi-rounded rims, decorated with matching J.M. Harden stenciling above a stenciled "2." Shorter example in excellent condition with minor surface ware. Taller example in very nice condition with a 2 1/4" spider line at base, not visible on interior, and two short lines at base, not visible on interior. H (of taller) 12 1/4".
