One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Slip-Trailed Cobalt Decoration, Northeastern U.S. origin, early 19th century, ovoid jar with footed base, tooled shoulder, and semi-rounded rim, decorated with a slip-trailed drape motif around the shoulder. Salt-glazed surface with reddish clay body. Albany-slip-glazed interior. Essentially as-made condition with in-the-firing blistering throughout and a few tiny pieces of in-the-firing adhered clay to shoulder. H 10 1/2".
