Rare Small-Sized Hound-Handled Stoneware Presentation Pitcher, Impressed "MRS. J BRANDT / FREEPORT, ILL'S / 1913," probably Midwestern origin, 1913, ovoid pitcher with elongated spout and molded hound-form handle, featuring a relief hunt scene in white clay. Base with impressed presentation inscription highlighted in black. Surface with Rockingham-glazed upper body, the bottom half clear-glazed over gray clay. Excellent condition with minor spout wear and some lines to relief scene, likely in-the-firing. H 4 5/8".
