Three-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Crock, Stenciled "A.P. DONAGHHO / Parkersburg, W.Va.," circa 1880, wide, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-squared rim, and applied lug handles, featuring A.P. Donaghho maker's stenciling above stenciled "3" with sunburst border, flanked by geometric motifs. Essentially as-made condition with only in-the-firing flaws. A thin circular surface line around underside at edge, not visible on interior. A salt drip to shoulder on right side. Two small spots of glaze spalling to one handle and a small spot of glaze spalling to opposite handle. H 11".
