Two-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "BRADY & RYAN / ELLENVILLE, N.Y.," circa 1885, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design a fan-tailed bird perched on a stylized branch with dotted flower descending from it. Chips to exterior and interior of rim. An in-the-firing iron ping to shoulder. A thin 2 1/2" crack from rim on reverse. Light staining to front of crock. In-the-firing discoloration to reverse. H 9 3/8".
