One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, Stamped "L. NORTON & SON," Bennington, VT, circa 1833-1838, highly-ovoid jug with tooled spout, brush-decorated with a wavy stem bearing two oval leaves. Brushed cobalt highlight to maker's mark. Staining. A network of lines to right side near base. Two minor spout chips. H 11 1/2".
