Small-Sized Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug with Portsmouth, NH Advertising, New England origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jug with tall spout, featuring the slip-trailed cobalt advertising, "J. Laighton / Portsmouth / N.H." Excellent condition with minor chipping to spout. The diagonal black stripe on one side is inherent in the clay. H 8 1/2".
