Very Rare Stoneware Figure of a Spaniel with Glass Eyes, attributed to Wallace and Cornwall Kirkpatrick, Anna, IL, circa 1880, large-sized molded figure of a seated spaniel on distinctive cross-hatched base, its face fitted with original yellow glass eyes. Incised details to muzzle, claws, and hair on head and ears. Exterior surface covered in a heavy salt glaze, the hollow interior with Albany slip coating. One of a small number of Anna glass-eyed spaniels known. Excellent condition with minor chipping to base. H 12".
